Welcome to Beautiful Soul Art.

My name is Carla Levarelli Hamm and I am a South African born artist now based in the beautiful Northamptonshire countryside. I specialise in pet portraits and animal art. My main medium is Soft Pastel Pencils on Clairefontaine PastelMat Board.

I decided to trade under Beautiful Soul Art rather than my own name because my passion is to capture the true soul of these beautiful creatures and in drawing them I emotionally connect with the subject. It means the world to me when my clients truly see their pet in my Pet Portraits.

I am a self taught artist who learnt a lot from my father growing up. 
My work is photo-realistic and contemporary in style.
Pet portraits are a wonderful way of remembering a special furry family member and I have had the honour of doing a number of remembrance pieces for people who have lost their beloved pets. The Pet Portrait on the left is of my gorgeous recently departed blue eyed boy, Chinook. 
Commissioned drawings make wonderful, unique gifts.
